Carmilla

Description of the Book
In an isolated mansion in the middle of the Styrian forest, Laura lives alone with her elderly father for company. Until one moonlit night, a horse-drawn carriage drops into view, carrying an unexpected guest – the beautiful Carmilla. This begins a warm friendship between Laura and her mysterious and magical friend.
But as Carmilla becomes increasingly paranoid and volatile, prone to nighttime wanderings, Laura finds herself tormented by nightmares and exhausted every day.
Following up on Dracula for twenty-six years, Carmilla is the first vampire story to match sexual tension with gothic romance.
