Tales of The Fish Patrol

Description of the Book
In this famous collection of stories drawn from his own experiences, the author looks back on his teenage years on a San Francisco Bay cruise ship.
In the early 1900s, men from all walks of life descended upon these waters to plunder its oyster beds. To stop running on the water, patrols were formed. Jack London began his youthful adventures on the wrong side of the law, as an oyster pirate.
But conscience and common sense prevailed, at the age of sixteen, he became a member of the fishing community. Dedicated to enforcing the many laws that are passed to protect fish, fisheries managers have had many killers and thieves. These 7 short stories, based on Jack’s experiences and those of his fellow assistants, describe these incredible encounters.
