Indian Child Life
Description of the Book
The creator was raised as a Native American and portrays what it resembled to be an Indian kid (the initial 7 sections) and an Indian Young lady (the last 7 parts). This is altogether different from the skewed way the white man attempted to picture them as ‘savages’ and ‘brutes.
‘Quote: Dear Kids: — You will get a kick out of the chance to realize that the one who composed these genuine stories is himself one individual he portrays so wonderfully thus affectionately for you.
He trusts that when you have completed this book, the Indians will appear to you as genuine and amicable. He isn’t willing that all your insight into the race that previously had this landmass ought to come from the lips of outsiders and foes, or that you ought to consider them ruthless and misleading, as savage and messy.
