Julius Caesar

Description of the Book
The jealous conspirators convinced Brutus, Caesar’s friend, to join their plot to kill Caesar. To prevent Caesar from gaining too much power, Brutus and the conspirators assassinated him on the Ides of March. Mark Antony drove the conspirators out of Rome and fought them in battle.
Brutus and his friend Cassius disappeared and killed themselves, leaving Antony to rule in Rome. The Roman soldiers, Marullus and Flavius, broke up the assembly of citizens who wanted to celebrate Julius Caesar’s triumphant return from war. The victory was marked by public games in which Caesar’s protégé, Mark Antony, took part.
