Nero

Description of the Book
Nero was Roman Emperor from 54 to 68, and the last of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Nero was adopted by his grandfather Claudius as his heir and successor and succeeded to the throne in 54 after Claudius’ death. Nero focused heavily on diplomacy, trade, and improving the cultural life of the Empire.
He ordered the construction of theaters and promoted sports. During his reign, the fearsome General Corbulo waged a victorious war and made peace with the Parthian Empire. His general Suetonius Paulinus crushed the rebellion in Britain. Nero captured the Bosphorus Kingdom from the Empire and started the First Roman-Jewish War.
