From the beginning of the 20th century, he made lasting friendships with W.B. Yeats, George Moore, Lord Dunsany, James Stephens, Stephen Mackenna (translator of Plotinus’ Enneads), James Joyce, and other writers, thinkers, and artists, and was associated with the Irish National Theater Society (later Abbey Theatre). There is no imagination on my part about Avatars in this book.
No more than an artist can paint the sun at noon I can imagine such great ideas. And as an artist can say light on a mountain or a tree, in this fantasy, I tried to imagine the spiritual happiness of two people who are going through the story, others say but they do not speak for themselves. -, following dedication to W.B. Yeats The Avatars is more than the ‘Futurist Fantasy’ the author calls it;

About the Author
Russell was born in Lurgan, County Armagh (not Portadown as sometimes incorrectly stated), Ireland, the second son of Thomas Russell and Mary Armstrong. His father, the son of a small farmer, became an employee of Thomas Bell and Co., a successful business of linen weavers.
The family moved to Dublin, where his father got a new job when George was eleven. The death of his beloved 18-year-old sister Mary was a blow that took him a long time to recover from.
