The story follows the main character, Valancy Stirling, as she tries to put the pieces of her life back together when she learns that she only has one year to live due to a terminal heart condition. . .

When Valancy, who is 29 years old and an old maid by society’s standards, realizes that she is on the brink of death, she begins to live her life for the first time.

He no longer cares about what his mother or family members say or think about him. Valancy vows to start living and seeing everything she dreams of having in life, including her dream man and her own house, which she calls the Blue Castle.

Lucy Maud Montgomery OBE (November 30, 1874 – April 24, 1942), published as L.M. Montgomery, is a Canadian author best known for his collection of novels, essays, short stories, and poems beginning in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables.

She has published 20 novels as well as 530 short stories, 500 poems, and 30 essays.
