The Story of Doctor Dolittle Pdf Book Summary
Dr. Dolittle lived with his sister Sarah in a small house in Puddleby-on-the-Marsh. He was a famous doctor who loved animals and loved many of them. His pets are a small Polynesian parrot, a Gub-Gub pig, a Dab-Dab duck and a Too-Too owl.
One day Polynesia and a pet salesman designed a meal for Dolittle to become a vet. Polynesia began to explain to doctors how animals talk, such as the movement of ears, claws and tails. With the help of Polynesia, Dolittle became a veterinarian and learned to understand animals. News of him spread quickly, and new patients came to him.
When Dolittle became a vet, she started making a lot of money, so she bought a sad monkey named Chee-Chee from other animals. A crocodile with a toothache from the circus, and he wanted it at Dolittle that he decided to stay there. He just had to call out he wouldn’t eat those kilo fish. Although he was kind to people, they were afraid of him, so they stopped driving their animals and Dolittle had problems with money.

GREAT LOFTING
“The Story of Dr. Dolittle” is a children’s novel by English author Hugh Lofting. The full title of the work is “Dr. Dolittle’s story, the history of his extraordinary life at home and wonderful journeys in foreign lands.” This novel is the first in a series of 12 novels about this famous doctor, whose peculiarity is the ability to talk to animals.
Dr. Dolittle is not a vet, but has always loved animals so much that he has a large portion of his land in a small town in England. Over time, his animals drove away his patients, and he and his single brother remained almost on the brink of poverty and bankruptcy. When the parrot taught Polynesia to communicate with animals, he became a veterinarian.
The news of an amazing animal-talking doctor has spread around the world so much that the doctor has been invited to Africa to cure an epidemic that has spread among monkeys. Africa was the beginning of his adventure.
He met many tribes he had never seen before, and he recognized some strange animals, such as the pushmi-pully. It was a two-headed animal with a gazelle on one side and a unicorn on the other. He also meets pirates, adventurers, princes and other interesting characters who make his journey an unforgettable adventure.

The book was published in 1920 and was considered racist. The author shows that he never wants to insult or spread hatred, but the parts in which he describes certain tribes need to be changed in new editions of the book.
However, this book is one of children’s favorites. Dr. Dolittle’s adventures are even more interesting to read today, even for adults. Dr. Dolittle’s character has become part of pop culture, and people who love and associate with animals are said to be real Dr. Dolittles. This book has many film and theater adaptations that make it even more popular

It was enough for him to promise not to eat a kilo of fish. Although he was kind to people, they were afraid of him, so they stopped driving their animals and Dolittle had problems with money.
The house eventually became a zoo, so Dr. Sarah’s sister moved and the animals had their own carts. Money was lost, as was food, and many animals starved. When winter came, the dancer went to the doctor and was told that there was an epidemic among monkeys in Africa.
The problem was that the doctor didn’t have the money to buy a ticket, but he thought of the sailor his daughter was holding and went to lend her his ship. The doctor accompanied his barges, parrot, crocodile, monkey, duck and his dog. They sailed for weeks, followed by dancing and stumbled near the coast of Africa, and their ship got stuck, but they were saved. The doctor’s only regret was his lost cap.
The end saw the hat, and when he grabbed it, there was a little white rat in it. He wore it with a hat to the beach. The black man waited for them and told them to follow him into his tribe. The doctor tried to explain to the king that he was there to save the monkey, but the king did not believe him and put everyone except Polynesia in prison. The king did not believe them because he had a problem with a white man who dug in the ground in search of gold and killed elephants for ivory. Thanks to Polynesia, they managed to escape and soon caught a healthy monkey building a bridge over their bodies so that everyone could cross Monkey Land safely.
Thousands of sick monkeys are waiting for them and the doctor needs help with his animals. The lion, as king, refuses to help, but after the lion tells him to help and realizes that if one day he wants to help, he needs to help others, the lion decides to help. After two weeks, everyone was fine and the doctor slept for three days and three nights.
