Timaeus

Description of the Book
Timaeus begins with the distinction between the physical world and the eternal world. The body is a world that changes and perishes: therefore it is a thing of thought and feeling. Immortality is immutable: therefore reason is held (28a).
The words in the two worlds depend on the different nature of their objects. In fact, “the description of things that are not changing, fixed and clear in understanding will be things that are not changing and fixed” (29b), while the description of things is changing and things that can happen, will change and is only possible.
“As being becomes, truth is in belief” (29c).
